Where will the money go?
Here are a few of the ways we can direct your financial gifts:
$50 pays for fresh local food ingredients to be used in classroom workshops, or a farmer’s time for a virtual class visit.
$100 buys apples or carrots for a local school to participate in the Great Big Crunch or other local food appreciation events.
$200 buys food for a You’re the Chef 8-week program for one school.
$350 buys a full Farm to School Education Workshop for one elementary school class.
$500 helps cover costs of maintaining, publishing and distribution for the Headwaters Farm Fresh Guide and keeps listings free for local farmers and food producers.
We have generous partners who support us with in-kind donations for meeting space, consultations and fundraising efforts. But we do not ask for donations of food or services from farmers, and there are always costs associated with making sure that projects stay on track and produce the intended benefits to our communities. Your donation will help ensure that this work continues. Thank you!
